Bedroom Oasis
Tired of the same old look for your bedroom and wish for a bedroom oasis. Did you know, you don’t have to spend thousands to create a tranquil, calming bedroom? If you already have great pieces, you only need to make some minor adjustments to achieve your desired look.
Clutter is the primary culprit. Step back and take a look around your space and you will clearly see disorganization is the enemy of relaxation. It’s hard to desire an oasis or drift into a peaceful night sleep when your space is full of clutter.
Remember, your bedroom is the last thing you see before falling asleep and the first thing to greet your eyes in the morning. So, why not create a space that is welcoming and calming. We have outlined some organizational tips that will help you get the bedroom oasis you deserve.
Make Your Bed
Sounds simple but can be a challenge for many. It costs you nothing and takes a few minutes to make your bed. When the bed is unmade, it gives the room an instant chaotic feel and look. Conversely, when the bed is made, your bedroom looks great. In order to give the entire space the oasis feel, you will have to declutter and get organized. Making the bed is a start but it does not bring you complete satisfaction if the remaining space is not in order.
Purge
Rid yourself of things that you no longer need, love or collected so much dust you cannot figure out what it is or why you have it. Let someone benefit from your goodwill by donating, hosting a yard sale or posting on your social media platforms. Once you get rid of the things you don’t need, you will have a better strategy for organizing what’s remaining or purge some more.
Hidden Treasure – Under Your Bed
Did you know you can organize your items by neatly using the space under your bed? This is great, particularly, for small bedroom spaces. It’s a prime storage area for shoes, seasonal clothing, extra linens, and other items. Of course, you don’t want to cram everything under your bed but organize by using under-bed storage boxes, preferably clear so you can see what’s inside without having to open the box, and with handles for easy access.
Conquer the Closet
Conquer your closet! Get rid of anything that doesn’t belong, along with clothes and shoes you no longer wear. Invest in closet organizers or install easy shelving and racks to organize your accessories, clothes, shoes, purses, etc.
Style Your Dresser Top
Dresser tops have a way of becoming clutter catchalls. Instead, adorn your dresser top with beautiful home décor/accessories – don’t over accessories. Look for the right complementary pieces.
